About Us
Bay Springs Baptist Church was founded in 1883 by Rev. Silas Williford and two families, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Fortson. The original church building was not constructed until approximately 1900, and was the church house until it was rebuilt in 1967. Today the church meets in new facilities that God has blessed us with, and He continues to show us His power.
There is something special that you will notice here, we genuinely love each other. You will hear us say brother and sister here, and it’s because we are a family and we treat each other with that same respect. Our church has grown beyond the original walls of that first sanctuary, and our hearts have never been bigger. We always want to remember that each person that walks through the door of the church is loved by God and we will show that love through our actions.
