A Quick Note

I am very excited about two very special events in the month of February. On Sunday morning, February 12 we will have High Attendance Day in Sunday School. The theme is "Don't Break the Heart." Each class has set a goal for the day and will have a heart-shaped puzzle with that number of pieces on it. On January 29 and February 5 those in Sunday School will be asked to commit to be in Sunday School on February 12. If they commit, they will take a piece of the puzzle and bring it back on "Don't Break the Heart" Sunday, February 12. If everyone comes and brings their heart piece, then the class puzzle will be complete and the heart won’t be "broken." I encourage everyone to be in Sunday School on February 12, and let’s see how many we can have here to study God's Word and fellowship together.

On Sunday night, February 26 we will host Kirk and Patti Lytle from Orlando, Florida. Kirk and Patti have over 30 years of drama and music ministry experience. They will present two dramas for us that night featuring the lives of Fanny Crosby, the blind hymn writer who wrote "Blessed Assurance," "To God Be the Glory," "Rescue the Perishing," “Tell Me the Story of Jesus,” and many others, and Jim and Elisabeth Elliot, missionaries to Ecuador whose lives were featured in the 2005 movie "End of the Spear." These historically accurate dramas use music and humor to show how God uses ordinary individuals to do extraordinary things. Don't miss it!
